The Ivy Legacy Foundation of Acadiana Awards $12,000 in Scholarships at 33rd Annual NPHC Scholarship Program

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Lafayette, Louisiana hosted its 33rd Annual Scholarship Program, celebrating the academic achievements of local high school seniors and college undergraduates. The Ivy Legacy Foundation of Acadiana (ILFoA) proudly contributed to the recognition and support of ten exceptional students.
Through the Foundation’s commitment to educational advancement, ILFoA awarded a total of $12,000 in scholarships to deserving high school seniors across the Acadiana region. These awards recognized students who demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, community service, and strong moral character. We proudly congratulate our 2025 ILFoA scholarship recipients:
Leah Gransberry, Academy of the Sacred Heart
Taylor Wright, Ovey Comeaux High School
Nyla Bernard, St. Thomas More Catholic High School
Lillian Giroir, Lafayette High School
Kaylen Daniels, Westgate High School
In addition, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc ® Eta Chi Omega Chapter presented several awards, including:
The Earline D. Pipkin Scholarship – named in honor of our chapter’s founding member and first president, this $2,500 merit-based award was presented to Ms. Alasca Wilson, a junior at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Book Stipend Awards – Four $500 stipends were awarded to the children of chapter members: Jarden Goodie (Lafayette High School), Ryan Washington (Rayne High School), Gavin Solomon (Cecilia High School), and Kaleb Daniels (Teurlings Catholic High School).
The Ivy Legacy Foundation of Acadiana extents a heartfelt congratulations to all of the recipients as they prepare to begin their next academic journey.
